How to measure my head?

How to measure my head?

Measuring your head for wigs is a simple process. Follow these steps for accurate measurements:

  1. Use a Measuring Tape:

    • Use a soft, flexible measuring tape for accurate results.
  2. Start at the Forehead:

    • Place the tape measure at your forehead, just above your eyebrows. Ensure it sits flat against your skin.
  3. Wrap Around the Head:

    • Wrap the tape around your head, following your hairline. Make sure it sits snugly but not too tight.
  4. Behind the Ears:

    • Bring the tape around to the back of your head, ensuring it's level and sits right above your ears.
  5. Measure at the Occipital Bone:

    • The occipital bone is the bump at the back of your head. Position the tape measure just above this bone.
  6. Complete the Circle:

    • Bring the tape back to the starting point at the forehead, and check that it forms a complete circle around your head.
  7. Take the Measurement:

    • Read the measurement where the tape meets or overlaps. This is your head circumference.
  8. Record the Measurement:

    • Note down the measurement in inches or centimeters, depending on the unit of measurement on your tape.

Remember, for wig fittings, accuracy is crucial. If possible, repeat the process to ensure consistent results. If you are uncertain or want a more precise fit, consider seeking assistance from a professional stylist or wig expert for measurements.
